Rive File Inspector
Open a .riv file to see what's inside — artboards, timelines, state machines with their inputs, Data Binding view models with their properties — and drive it live to check it before you integrate it.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.
No file handy? or — real Charmotion output.
The preview uses Rive's lightweight web runtime, which does not draw Rive Text or play audio; the inspector still lists those files' contents.
What it reads
Every artboard with its timelines and state machines; each state machine's inputs (number, boolean, trigger); every view model with its properties and types; and the file's enums.
Why it matters
Rive's new Apple runtime and the React Native Nitro runtime are built around Data Binding. A file with inputs but no view model will need converting before you adopt them — the report flags it.
Need a .riv for your own character?
Charmotion turns one image into a .riv with 17 animations, a Data Binding view model and a classic state machine — plus video, GIF and code.
