Use Charmotion from your AI assistant

Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code or Codex to Charmotion. Design a character or a logo with AI, turn it into a character set or a logo animation, and add it to your app without leaving the chat.

It's a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP). There's no API key: when a tool needs your account, your assistant opens charmotion.app, you sign in with a one-time email code and approve what it may do.

What it can do

The same two steps as Create in the app. First, what to animate: a character becomes a character set, a logo becomes a logo animation. Then, do you have it already? Your assistant can design it with AI first, or use your image.

Previews and guides work without an account. Logo concepts, expressions and video exports are free with a signed-in account. AI designs, character sets and logo animation builds use your existing Charmotion plan, and your assistant asks before each one; plans are managed on charmotion.app.

How many character sets and AI designs do I have left?

Before a character set builds, Charmotion makes matching expressions your drawing doesn't show (a calm smile, sad, talking mouths, asleep). Your assistant shows them and asks which to use. To skip the question, ask it to use all of them.

When a set is ready, your assistant gets its integration notes (the same AI_README as the set page's Embed it panel), so a coding assistant can add the character to your app with the right file for your platform.

Set it up

Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop)

Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
Name it Charmotion and paste the server URL above.
Click Connect, sign in on charmotion.app and allow access.

Claude Code

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick charmotion and sign in.

Cursor

Other assistants

Any MCP client that supports remote servers and OAuth sign-in can use the server URL above. Charmotion for ChatGPT is coming soon.

Sharing your image

No image yet? Ask your assistant to design one with AI. To use your own, note that most assistants can't pass an attached file to a tool yet: share a public https link to the image instead (PNG, JPEG or WebP, at least 512 px, up to 10 MB; logos can also be SVG). Flat, front-facing art on a plain background works best. Photos of real people, existing characters and well-known brands aren't supported.

Privacy and limits

Your assistant sends only what a tool needs: the image link, your design answers, the character name, your expression and logo animation choices or a guide search. We never receive your chat.
Free previews are watermarked, limited to a few a day and deleted within 24 hours.
Connecting an account is optional. You can disconnect any assistant in Account, then Connected apps.
