Rive vs Lottie file size
Published · 0:29
Often, but the big numbers are vendor claims. Rive says .riv files are typically 10–15 times smaller than equivalent Lottie JSON, citing a 240 KB Lottie rebuilt at 16 KB. Independently, Callstack recreated a 24.37 KB Lottie as a 2 KB .riv. Compressed .lottie files narrow the gap, so compare files plus runtimes.
