Is Rive faster than Lottie?

Sometimes, but there is little independent evidence. The only neutral head-to-head we found is Callstack's 2023 React Native test on an old Xperia Z3: about 60 FPS for Rive versus 17 for Lottie, with Rive using more memory. Rive's docs add that iOS profiling misleads unless you include Apple's backboardd process.
