What states should an app mascot have?

Most apps are covered by a looping idle plus a few context loops, such as loading or thinking during waits, listening and talking for assistants, and sleeping for empty or inactive screens. Add short one-shot reactions for success, error, yes, no, enter and exit. Keep loops subtle and reactions brief.
