How does Duolingo animate its characters? (Rive state machines)
Published · 0:33
Duolingo uses Rive. In a 2022 engineering post the team explained that Rive's state machine lets the app choose animation states in code, so characters can sync mouths to audio and react to learners in real time. Charmotion gives your own mascot the same setup: a Rive file with 10 moods and 6 reactions.
