How long should an Android splash animation be?

Google recommends not exceeding 1,000 ms on phones for the Android 12+ animated splash icon, and any delayed start cannot exceed 166 ms. It is a recommendation, not a hard limit. If your app takes longer than a second to start, use a looping animation. The icon can be an AnimatedVectorDrawable.
